What you think as your surrounding, is actually part of your consciousness, your life force, your feelings. (See spiritual structure) So, not only your inner body influences these states, also what surrounds you.

When you are in a space with a lot of air around you and less solid matter, the balance between consciousness and feeling is totally different then when you are in a small confined room, with lots of stuff in it. A low ceilings feels different than a high ceiling; square and edged materials give a different consciousness than rounded material.

To influence the balance between consciousness, life force and feelings, you can change your surrounding. Clean the room around you and keeping surfaces free, be more outside in a natural space. Round of edges in the sleeping room.
